TikTok Shop just confirmed its biggest European expansion to date. Four new markets — Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland — will go live on June 15, 2026. Seller registration for all four opens on June 1.
This takes TikTok Shop from 5 to 9 EU markets. Combined with the existing five — France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain — TikTok Shop will cover over 200 million monthly active users across Europe.
If you are already selling on TikTok Shop in the UK or any EU market, this is your window to move first.
The Four New Markets
Austria
Austria has 7.5 million TikTok users and a strong DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) commerce infrastructure. Brands already selling on TikTok Shop Germany will find the expansion straightforward — shared language, similar consumer behaviour, and overlapping logistics networks.
Belgium
Belgium brings a bilingual market (Dutch and French) with high e-commerce penetration. Its central European location makes it a natural fulfilment hub. Brands targeting both the Netherlands and France already have supply chains that cover Belgium.
The Netherlands
The Netherlands is one of Europe's most digitally mature markets. E-commerce penetration is among the highest in the EU, and Dutch consumers are comfortable buying through social platforms. The Netherlands also serves as a major logistics gateway to the rest of Europe.
Poland
Poland is Central Europe's largest e-commerce market and one of the fastest-growing. It has a young, highly engaged TikTok user base and lower fulfilment costs compared to Western Europe. For brands looking at volume, Poland is the most interesting of the four new markets.
What We Know So Far

| Markets | Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland |
| Total EU markets after launch | 9 (+ UK as a separate market) |

Sell Across Europe
TikTok also announced a "Sell Across Europe" feature. Details are still emerging, but this is expected to let sellers list products across multiple EU markets from a single Seller Center account, rather than needing separate accounts per country.
This is a significant operational simplification. Currently, managing multiple EU markets means separate listings, separate inventory management, and separate compliance documentation for each country. If "Sell Across Europe" consolidates this, it will lower the barrier to multi-market selling substantially.
We will update this article as more details are confirmed.
Timeline for Sellers
Now (Before June 1)
- Audit your product catalogue. Identify which SKUs are suitable for the new markets. Consider language localisation for product titles and descriptions.
- Review compliance requirements. Each market has its own consumer protection and product labelling rules. Products sold in Austria, for example, may need German-language labelling that complies with Austrian regulations.
- Check your logistics. If you are using TikTok's Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) programme, confirm whether FBT will be available in the new markets at launch. If you are self-fulfilling, verify that your courier covers the new countries.
June 1: Registration Opens
- Register early. Early sellers get first-mover advantage in categories with low competition.
- Complete verification promptly. Expect verification to take 3-7 business days. Delays in documentation will push your go-live past June 15.
- Prepare product listings in advance. Have your listings, images, and descriptions ready to upload as soon as your account is verified.
June 15: Markets Go Live
- Launch with your best-performing products. Do not try to list your entire catalogue on day one. Lead with products that have proven conversion rates in your existing markets.
- Activate your affiliate strategy. Use TikTok Shop's Open Collaboration to connect with creators in the new markets. Local creators will drive significantly better conversion than cross-border content.
- Monitor early performance closely. The first 30 days set the tone for your algorithmic positioning in each new market.
What This Means for UK Sellers
UK sellers are in a strong position. You have been operating on TikTok Shop longer than most EU sellers, and you have data, processes, and creator relationships that translate.
However, post-Brexit trade arrangements add complexity:

- Customs and VAT. Selling from the UK into the EU means dealing with customs declarations and EU VAT obligations. If you do not already have an EU VAT registration, you will need one.
- Product compliance. EU markets require CE marking and compliance with EU-specific regulations. UK-compliant products may need additional certification for EU sale.
- Fulfilment. Shipping from the UK to EU buyers means longer delivery times and higher costs unless you set up EU-based stock. Consider a 3PL in the Netherlands or Germany as a distribution hub.
The "Sell Across Europe" feature may simplify some of this, but customs and VAT obligations remain regardless of platform features.
What This Means for Existing EU Sellers
If you are already selling on TikTok Shop in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, or Ireland, expanding to the four new markets should be relatively straightforward:
- No additional customs barriers within the EU Single Market
- Shared VAT frameworks (though registration may be needed in additional countries depending on thresholds)
- Existing logistics networks likely already cover the new markets
- Product compliance is largely harmonised across EU member states
The biggest advantage is speed. You already know how TikTok Shop works. While new sellers are figuring out Seller Center, you can be live with optimised listings on day one.

FAQ
When exactly does TikTok Shop go live in the new markets?
June 15, 2026. Seller registration opens June 1.
Can I sell in the new markets from my existing TikTok Shop account?
Details on the "Sell Across Europe" feature are still emerging. Currently, most multi-market sellers need separate accounts or at minimum separate market registrations within Seller Center. We will update this when TikTok confirms the mechanism.
Do I need to be based in these countries to sell there?
No. TikTok Shop supports cross-border selling. However, you will need to comply with local regulations including product labelling, consumer rights, and tax obligations.
What commission rates will apply?
TikTok has not yet confirmed whether the new markets will launch with introductory commission rates (as previous markets have) or match existing EU rates. Check the EU fees guide for current rate structures.
Will FBT be available in the new markets?
Not confirmed yet. FBT availability typically follows market launch by several months. Plan to self-fulfil initially.
